Shot for the world premiere of the first queer, female-led production of Sea Wall, this project was created for Margate Pride in August 2022. Originally written by Simon Stephens for Andrew Scott, Sea Wall is a celebrated solo play that has graced stages on Broadway and the West End. This groundbreaking reimagining marked a powerful shift—placing queer, female identity at the centre of a work traditionally performed by a cis male actor. The visuals were developed for the play’s official poster and promotional materials, ahead of its debut at the Turner Contemporary, in the Foyle Room, as part of the Margate Art Trail. The imagery captures the emotional intensity of the monologue while visually echoing themes of grief, identity, and quiet resilience—reframed through a queer, feminist lens.
